USPA B License for Sky Diving

A skilled mold technician with more than 5 years of experience, Todd Pirich has owned Core Mitigation in Cudjoe Key, Florida, since 2014. Outside of the professional sphere, Todd Pirich is an avid skydiver who holds a B license through the United States Parachute Association (USPA).

Parachutists with USPA B licenses have all the authorizations of A license-holders, including the privilege of skydiving unsupervised, packing their own principal parachutes, and performing both basic group jumps and water jumps. They also have the additional privilege of completing night jumps. After accumulating 100 jumps, B license-holders become eligible for the USPA Coach Rating.

In order to obtain a USPA B license, skydivers must complete 50 jumps with at least 30 minutes of controlled free-fall time, and an accuracy radius of less than 33 feet for at least 10 jumps. They must also pass planned formation, canopy piloting, and live water landing requirements. The USPA B license exam is a written test taken under the supervision of a USPA official.
